Other Updates
The Christmas Disco seemed to go well. Thank you for all who were able to help out. Thank you to the school caretakers for their kind help and throughout the year. Alex’s disco was great, as always.
CSAD has had visits and demonstrations from some paralympians and hopefully some more in the future. Thank you to Sabrina Fortune, Pablo Rees (Greenbank Giants Boccia), Gareth Stafford (and Gill).
Kind donations-
Thank you to- Duchess trust for donating £1000.00 to help offset the cost of lockdown and for new equipment, P.P.E. and coaching costs.
Thank you to Bob Clough Parker and the Chester Business club, for donations to the club, earlier in the year and for organising the, annual, ‘Business club’ walk.
Thank you, of course, to Dan Davison from A.C.A Ltd, for all his hard work on this web page and for his patience, dealing with confirmed ‘techno phobes’ ha ha.
Kind help– (apologies to those not mentioned, yet, we are working on it)
Thank you to ‘Champion Accountants’ for their, regular, kind, free help and advice.
‘Mencap’ have been an invaluable source (by phone and e-mails) for specific safeguarding issues. I’ve been on the courses and they are a great help to stay up to date, but adapting to each (often new) situation isn’t always as straightforward as ‘hypothetically’. I take heart from the advice that the best we can do is our best, with what is available and record what’s been done to learn from. The ’local safeguarding board’ are another source of info/ advice and we have recently contacted. Visits and support from Chris Matheson MP, Louise Gittins and Elizabeth Rossetti, this year are much appreciated. Meeting with Edward Malone was helpful and gave us some good ideas and new options. Thank you to ‘Active Cheshire’ for taking time to meet with us and for their offer of 10 hours of admin support (and possibly a coach to help get csad FC up and running). Thank you to EPNAVCO for being our source for DBS’. Thank you to support workers through Direct payments and agencies (such as SNC) who have added to and supported club activities. Please let us know if we can improve our communications and how. Our committee meetings have highlighted the need for feedback forms and these will be worked upon as soon as we have available time. It is much easier, though, to respond to need.
Thank you to Angela and Islam for their help, this year, with admin work and other tasks. Thank you to- Daulby Read, Brio at Northgate Arena, Queens Park School, The Red Cross, St. Johns ambulance and the University of Chester Volunteering team, for good, working, co-operation in what CSAD tries to achieve- facilitating our members. Thank you to Cheshire FA for helping ‘csad FC’ to affiliate and hopefully, to be up and running soon. Thanks also for the coaching help (Matt Fisher), Bibs and footballs.
